Call It a Continuation, Not a Comeback

If you’ve been away from something you love, here’s your nudge to dip back in. We’re talking breaks, bunny sightings, and knowing when it’s time to begin again.

Summer’s here! You’re juggling work, camp schedules, business goals, time with family, and traveling with children. Even though the word ‘break’ is in summer break, you’re wondering when you’ll catch a moment to breathe. I’m back on the Celebrate Cultivate podcast with a pep talk to pause what’s dragging you down or come back to what matters most. Let’s get into it…

Prompts for Returning to a Project You Paused

Respond in your journal or ask your inner voice these questions:

  • Is now the time? Why or why not?

  • How would feel to begin again?

  • How can I support myself as I begin?

  • What’s one small step I can take today?

Ritual Stack: Come Back to a Dream You Paused

  • Read Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver Burkeman. Don’t let the cover fool you. This book won’t give you time management tips, but it will change how you think about the time you have left.

  • Watch F1: The Academy on Netflix. Take a break from Ginny & Georgia for a jolt of inspiration. These women will make you want to go full speed after what you want.

  • Listen to “Release Me” by Corrina Rep. Press play on your next morning walk or journaling session. Let the lyrics help you let go of what’s holding you back.

  • Reserve An Hour of Intuition. A private coaching session to clear the noise. So you can pause, pivot, or move forward with the confidence that you know exactly where you’re going next.

Wait, What Is a Ritual Stack?

It’s the name of my new Substack, so make sure you’re following me over there: kaileenelise.substack.com.

I first heard of habit stacking as life hack for adding new habits to your life. But at a workshop I attended, the host shared the idea of ritual stacks. Same concept, but ritual stacking infuses your action with intention by pairing something you want to do with a ritual that feels good and easy to fold into your life.

Here on the podcast, I’ll share Ritual Stacks (maybe not every episode) as a roundup of recommendations, practices, and ideas to explore and layer into your life. You don’t have to do them all, or do them perfectly. Just pick one and see where it takes you.

Why I’m Back After a Six-Month Hiatus

In the last episode of Season 8, I wasn’t sure when the show would be back. Even then, I could feel a crossroads ahead.

In work, there was a chasm between the effort I was putting in and the profits I was taking home. (Said every small business owner ever.) In wellbeing, I was ready to refocus on what makes me feel best. Like morning walks, a skincare routine, and making pretty plates of nourishing food. In identity, I was about to turn 40 and felt an immediate urge to get botox and a breast reduction. I didn’t get either, but here are a few things that have happened since I’ve been gone:

  • Invested in private coaching with content strategist, Xanthe Appleyard. This brought fresh energy to my business and reminded me of how vital it is to get support, especially when you’re struggling.

  • Turned 40 with a cherry-coded party. A conversation with my friend Stephanie inspired me to think about what I love most about birthdays. Playing with a theme, good food, new and old friends. I crossed it all the list and stepped into my 40s feeling sweet.

  • Became obsessed with two wild baby bunnies in our yard.

  • Brought back small group coaching with Spring Forward and Magnetize. Both were a dream! Spring Forward helped participants arrive to summer feeling calm, confident, and one step ahead. In Magnetize, the group learned to manifest with inner wisdom, no toxic positivity or high vibes hangover.

And most importantly, I remembered that taking a break from something doesn’t break it. Coming back now feels like divine timing and I’m so happy to be here..
