Ebb and Flow

You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life. (Steve Jobs)

Recently, life has been a series of sprints and pauses. Just as I find inspiration or gain momentum, something derails me. I find myself craving the power to organize the gifts, surprises and struggles in my life. I suppose this is something we all go through.

My mister and I are facing a challenge that we never saw coming. I'm planning to post when I can, but things might be a bit quiet around here. I'm keeping my options open and focusing on staying flexible.

From where I'm sitting, it seems futile to resist what the universe presents. This realization is something I hope to hold onto through troubling storms and calm seas alike.

As bloggers, we pick and choose pieces of our lives to share. We embellish and diminish, we brush over and dive deep. Even when aiming for transparency, we are limited by our ability to share one side of the story.

I've never wanted to bare it all online. This patch of internet is where I hang sparkly lights. It's where I toss glitter and indulge in an extra cupcake. It's my creative outlet, my shimmery home away from home.

Though the next few months will be a challenging break from my comfortable & cozy routine, I hope to accept what life brings with love, compassion and an extra dose of grace.
