Reverb 10.8 Uniquely Me & Just Like You
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. Beautifully Different. Think about what makes you different and what you do that lights people up. Reflect on all the things that make you different–you’ll find they’re what make you beautiful.
I was recently in California, visiting family and kicking off Reverb 10. While I was there, my grandpa reminded me that I'd left a bin in their storage unit back at the end of 2007.
If you've never moved from one coast to another, let me assure you there's no way to do so with all your belongings. 3 years ago, I was just about to move to Raleigh and in get rid of everything mode. Thankfully, I left a little memorabilia behind with my grandparents. It was a treat to dig through this mini time capsule—there was so much I forgot.
I believe we are all completely the same. Yet, I know we are beautifully different.
In 2006, I described the ways in which I thought of myself as uniquely me. I hope you enjoy this trip down my memory lane. If you'd like a more recent view on how I'm beautifully different, jump on over to this post.
