Creative Weekend To-Do List

Like a plant that starts up in showers and sunshine
and does not know which has best helped it to grow,
it is difficult to say whether the hard things
or the pleasant things did me the most good.
(Lucy Larcom)

Happy Saturday my lovlies! I’m in the midst of enjoying a beautiful morning on the patio with my mister. The weather has warmed up, and we’re anticipating temperatures in the mid-80s for the next few days!

Since stepping up into a new role at work, my time for blogging and Twittering has lessened. My hope is to spend the weekend diving back into my favorite things, and making space for more creativity in my weekly routine.

The following creative to-do’s are on my list for this weekend ahead. I hope they inspire you to create an extraordinarily joyful weekend! As always, I would love it if you shared your plans in the comments below.

meet up with a friend for chai tea lattes
begin a fresh vision board for fall
start Sunday morning with french toast
create a playlist for getting back to the gym
spend time catching up on a few favorite blogs
shop & prep a menu for next week’s meals
connect with new Tweets & filter out spam
enjoy a sunny drive around town
relax, read & cheer for the buckeyes

while you were slowly waking up and having a leisurely time on the patio, I was already to the farmers market and back with loads of goodies.

I love your new fall creative list and will adopt your create a new playlist on my ipod.

    Enjoy your weekend!

This just made me smile — are you an Ohio native by chance?
I’m a born and raised Columbus native so the Buckeyes are like, in my blood 😉

Love the post, and love that we got to catch-up today. It was great to finally see you. Let’s try and find a time to workout together sometime soon, or we can always make another Saturday morning Starbucks date!

Our weekends are usually very active, but since I broke my foot the options are limited. Today’s goals were to hit the coffee shop for breakfast, get pizza for lunch, and get all of my chauffeur-necessary errands done.

Tomorrow we’re hoping to go to a kid’s museum that overlooks the SF Bay so we can entertain the 4yo AND see the Fleet Week airshow, but I’m not sure how long I’ll last without a place to sit and prop up my foot.

At the very least, I’m hoping to get out into the sun as much as possible. I’m typing this from a park bench while my husband and son play!

We are totally on the same boat. I have had to step up in my job and do part of the director job as well as mine. By next month, I will be back to my regular work which will hopefully leave time for blogging/tweeting during work hours.

But for now, reading blogs and commenting on them, as well as posting on my own blog is saved for the weekend. It’s what I am doing right now 10:40 pm on a Saturday night.

I hope you have a lovely weekend of relaxing.
