You might be familiar with buzzwords like abundance, gratitude, intention and manifest. If you’ve read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne or watched the corresponding movie, you have a general understanding of the Law of Attraction.

At a base level, the theory is that our thoughts dictate our reality—we have the power to think our future into existence.

The concept is wonderful, but people often struggle with finding the time to dedicate to such a practice. Monitoring our thoughts, controlling our beliefs, manifesting our future—it’s quite an undertaking.

While I’m no expert, I have seen evidence of the law of attraction many times in my life. It’s exciting, but scary, to believe we can have such an impact our destinies.

Just like the quote above, you can take small bites towards manifesting your dream life. Here are six ways to fold the Law of Attraction into your daily routine:

Cook dinner while playing The Secret DVD in the background—let the messages soak in as you chop vegetables or boil water

Participate in Jamie Ridler’s Full Moon Dreamboards—gather images that inspire you and visualize the feeling of already having whatever it is that you desire

Add Jessica Gonacha Swift’s Peacanoot blog to your feed reader—with her Monday Bliss Lists and other wonderful posts about abundance, you are bound to feel inspired

Listen to Scott Smith’s The Daily Boost podcast—his upbeat words of wisdom are a great pick me up during your morning commute

Download the Gratitude Journal App for your iPhone—take a few minutes each day to record the things you’re most grateful for and reflect on previous gratitude lists next time you’re feeling down

Visit Mike Doley’s magical wonderland of a website to sign up for daily emails from the universe and watch this short video clip next time you are in need of a Law of Attraction refresher

As you read through this list and click on the links, what other ideas come to mind—what ways you are already folding the Law of Attraction into your day?

  1. Congratulations on a decent selection of possibilities to enlighten those in need of inspiration.
Your thoughts create your future. Your thoughts have brought you to where you are now..think about it my friends

  2. Thanks for these great resources. I am a law of attraction addict. Why? Because it works, and I love things that work like they claim they do.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. no really, you are a mind reader. i am really trying to infuse my mind and my daily flow with more positivity, more influence of gratitude, more of the “good stuff.” and just last night, i was crawling into bed thinking, i know i can do that, but HOW?

of course your post would come this morning.
    i am delighted. thankyouSOmuch. xoxox

  4. Of course I am a big fan! It started off with parking spots at UNLV, and ended up with me at Naropa University. I’m enjoying The Peacanoot Blog. Thank you.

  5. Very cool! I always listen to podcasts while I’m making food- maybe I should test out looking into the secret.

My worry with the secret & similar programs is that they seem to lead into a really “me” centred way of being, where instead of focusing on giving or helping you’re always focused on working on your own life. It worries me a little.

But I really like how you broaden the idea out & make it not so much about willing parking spaces for yourself lol That kind of positivity I can get behind, and I’m already practicing =)

    Great post!

  6. yes, yes, yes!! i completely believe in this concept. i think i am living proof (at least somewhat lol). ;) hugs!!

  7. I am a complete believer in the law of attraction as well, because it has worked, time and time again for me. Thanks for the great resources though – it’s always good to have a refresher! ;-)
