To My Soul Sisters
Posted by kaileenelise on November 11th, 2009
these soul sisters live all across the map
inspiring, writing, reading
reaching out to one another
creative
yoga-doing
sparkle-loving types
i knew you were there all along
inside we’re all so similar
tiny little girls wearing tutus & soccer cleats
grown-ups now
still playing in the mud &
coloring outside the lines

I have spent the last few days soaking up an overwhelming amount of inspiration from so many of you. Your comments, emails, tweets and soul hugs travel from far away—and I welcome them with open arms.
I started this blog with the hopes of connecting with kindred spirits, but I did not realize the kind of impact you would have on me. In just a few short weeks, I feel transformed. There is a new light inside me. Thank you for letting yours shine.
The poem above came to me today in a quiet moment. Immediately, I wanted to share it with you. I feel lucky to be a part of your universe. Thanks for sharing bits of your world with me.

Kaileen, you are one of my favorite inspiration bloggers. I’m so glad you started this blog. This poem is just a glimpse of what an amazing writer you are.
Stay fabulous.
xo.
I love your poem! I feel so lucky to have “met” you and all the others as well. It feels amazing to know there are others out there like me.
(And I too went back to yoga this week! Sooo sore! Looking forward to more classes!)
This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I feel oh so grateful for having connected with you over the last little while. ((hugs)) Lexi
PS. I really did used to wear my pink tutu and baseball cleats at the same time.
Yes to the sparkle-loving types!
Oh, this is SO SO wonderful! What a sweet poem. I, too, have found an enormous amount of inspiration and connection within the blogging community, and I have the feeling that I’ve only just scratched the surface.
YOU, my dear, are a true soul sister. Keep shining!
P.S. How cute is that little girl on the left making the indignant face? Love it!
What a beautiful poem. I can so completely picture you in a tutu and soccer cleats.
Hugs,
Brenda
